THE WORK:

Ripple is hiring a talented Director, Finance Systems to oversee our finance systems. This role will report to the VP, Global Controller and collaborate closely with our global Accounting, Finance Operations, Treasury, FP&A, and other cross-functional teams. There will be a heavy focus on implementing our next ERP, optimizing our current finance systems, improving the efficiency and scalability of all finance workflows, and serving as the primary administrator of key finance and treasury systems. This position will be based in our San Francisco location.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Be a vital member of the core working group to implement Oracle Fusion Cloud, ensuring scalable financial processes now and in the future while simultaneously administering and optimizing the current ERP
  • Work closely with our IT function to develop and monitor financial system-related internal controls, processes, and policies.
  • In partnership with the Change Org, review existing finance system solutions and perform gap analysis against desired functionality, continuously reviewing and enhancing financial processes and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead and manage all ongoing system maintenance activities to support day-to-day accounting activities and serve as primary administrator for significant finance systems. Manage and participate in the ongoing business support for enhancements, issues, and data/configuration updates within the current ERP platform.
  • Determine and update finance system optimization strategies based on existing and emerging technologies, products, and platforms. Propose solutions and identify resource requirements.
  • As new finance or company-wide initiatives arise, collaborate cross-functionally to assess and communicate the impact to finance systems and related processes and take the necessary actions
  • Own all aspects of our financial systems including data integrity, new feature recommendations, financial reporting, user security, controls, troubleshooting, and third-party integrations
  • Work with finance partners, Change Management, and other cross functional teams to determine process inefficiencies leading them through discovery, design, implementation, and execution process
  • Build and develop a high-functioning team to execute on the long-term roadmap for Finance Systems

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: 

  • 12+ years of experience in a related role with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management Information Systems
  • We are a crypto company and looking to build breakthrough crypto solutions. A general interest and understanding the of the crypto industry will be a key to success
  • Proven experience successfully implementing, architecting, designing, supporting, and optimizing Oracle Cloud, AP/AR automation solutions, financial planning systems etc.
  • Someone that is excited to work in a fast-paced and challenging global environment and own critical decision-making responsibilities
  • Experience effectively managing complex, high-impact projects with large, cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
  • Understanding of core accounting and finance processes including but not limited to Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Revenue Recognition, and Consolidation. Working knowledge of accounting principles and US GAAP preferred. 
  • Knowledge of financial and related system controls with experience operating in a public company or highly regulated environment.
  • Experience building strong relationships with other functional leaders and collaborating on cross-functional initiatives
  • Flexible enough to accommodate to changes common in a startup environment, but have the influence and experience to build for scale and create structure with our finance processes.

 

For positions that will be based in CA, the annual salary range for this position is below. Actual salaries may vary based on numerous factors including, among other things, an individual applicant’s experience and qualifications for the position. This range does not include equity or additional compensation, such as bonuses or commissions. 
CA Annual Base Salary Range
$189,200$236,500 USD
